About Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Justin Hanson, a retired United States Secret Service Senior Special Agent with over 25 years of experience investigating financial crimes, including cryptocurrency fraud and digital asset scams.

I’m the founder of Hanson Security Group, LLC, and the creator of the Financial Training Academy.
​
During my final years with the Secret Service, I supervised the Financial Crimes Task Force, leading investigations into complex fraud cases and helping protect individuals and institutions from financial loss.
​
I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven, where I teach graduate-level courses on financial crimes and cryptocurrency investigations.

After seeing firsthand how easily people can be taken advantage of in the crypto space, I created this program to simplify what can often feel overwhelming. My goal is to help you understand how cryptocurrency works, recognize red flags, and take practical steps to protect your assets.
